Helga had been married once already, but that didn’t stop her father from trying to arrange another marriage for her. The worst of it all was that he meant to marry her to a beast, to a werewolf.They needed it, he told her. Relationships with the pack were too tense, and they needed to bind their two groups together. Helga didn’t see why she had to be the one to be sacrificed. She didn’t know why she had to be the one to tie the knot with one of the monsters that roamed through the mountains.
And yet, there was little she could do about it.
