Woman with male harem/reverse harem
She wanted to save the world - They wanted to save theirs. When the High Guardian of the Watchmen, Simon, is ordered to put a stop to the terrorists determined to wipe out the 'non humans', he zeros in on the daughter of the man believed to be the leader - Dr. Anna Blake. Miles Cavendish might be as slippery as they come, but Anna is all too easy for them to lay their hands on.
Author Kaitlyn O'Connor was first published by Harlequin Enterprises in 1994 under the pen name of Madris Dupree after nearly a decade of 'apprenticeship' --struggling to learn the business, the marketing, and the writing skills necessary for a career in commercial fiction. That 'first' published book, a historical, (which was actually her fourth attempt at a marketable piece of fiction) was successful, however, selling nearly 80,000 copies in the U.S., Switzerland, France, and the U.K. She writes various genres (or sub-genres since she always writes romance!) under different pen names. She has written science fiction/futuristic/fantasy under several - Kaitlyn O'Connor, in honor of her Scottish grandmother, Lyssa Hart, and Angelique Anjou (for the French ancestry), all combined here now under the single pen name Kaitlyn O'Connor.

"Five Stars! I'm a longtime fan of author Kaitlyn O'Connor, but I'll be the first to acknowledge that some of her past releases just haven't reflected her true talent. This one does. Dark Abyss is by far the best book I've read of late. In fact, I believe it's the best thing Kaitlyn O'Connor has ever written. With it, she has finally attained that one-level-higher that could take her from e-publishing into the mass-market realm should she decide to take that step.
Dark Abyss opens with a bang - or rather a BOOOOM! - and doesn't let up until the final page. The plot flows smoothly from beginning to end, and the love scenes are hot and wickedly passionate. That said, this book probably isn't quite what Ms. O'Connor's fans are expecting. The relationship between Anna and "her men" is a polyandrous romance rather than a menage, and it offers more suspense and sexual tension than her past works rather than sex itself carrying the story. Given the ending and the impending conflict she has set up between the air-breathers and mutants, it appears that this book is the first of a new series. It also has one of the most satisfying endings I've ever read! It will have you thrusting your fist into the air and proclaiming, "YESSSS!" Two Lips Reviews
